Project Director – Mine Construction

Globe 24-7, in partnership with our client – a leading Global Tier 1 mining company – has a rare opportunity for a Project Director to join a large mining operation based overseas. This is an expat FIFO role from any global point of hire; and is a role that has high level visibility at the executive level.
The Role The primary purpose of the Project Director is to ensure the smooth delivery of all infrastructure, functions, and departments of a large mining operation. The operation is a multi-billion dollar endeavour, and is currently at the construction phase. Scale of mine is >80MTPA.
The successful candidate will have the rare opportunity to shape and guide some of the construction effort, to ensure best practice for operational readiness.
The Requirements The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualified, technical, mining engineering background; and will have worked previously on the delivery of large ($100's of millions, at least) mine construction, or mine expansion, projects. We are seeking specifically candidates with a strong mining engineering, processing, or maintenance background, with a very rounded experience from operations into project delivery. Candidates with mining owner/operator experience, and not consulting, are preferred. Candidates with somewhere in the order of twenty to twenty-five years' career experience are sought, and it is important you are able to commit to rotational work of 6/3 (weeks), or possibly 4/2 (weeks).
