About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery, the Project Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects in the Capital Plan and oversight of other projects delivered by the Planning and Infrastructure (P&I) business unit across AAL and Parafield.
The role will provide a coordinated approach to portfolio and program delivery, including resource planning and governance.
This role is pivotal in strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities: Project Delivery: Lead and manage capital works projects to achieve quality, program, and budget outcomesTeam Leadership: Provide strategic, technical, operational, financial and managerial leadership to ensure successful project implementation across the portfolioStrategic Planning: Support leadership in developing procurement strategies and portfolio/program managementCommercial Acumen: Maximize the business area's contribution to the organisation's profitability and growth.
Identify opportunities to enhance business performance, maintain competitive advantage, and make decisions based on cost-benefit analysis and business insightsDecision Making: Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities.
Compare data from various sources to draw conclusions and develop effective solutions.
Take actions consistent with available facts, constraints, and company objectivesOperational Excellence: Drive the successful development and implementation of the AAL PMO, ensuring coordination, efficiency and strong governance across the business and within P&I .About you: You hold relevant qualifications in Project Management discipline, or similar disciplines, with demonstrated experienceYou have a proven track record in Major Capital Project DeliveryWith over 10 years of leadership experience, you excel at managing multiple projects in dynamic environmentsYour strategic vision aligns projects with business needs and objectivesYou are adept at budget management, project reporting, coordination and programming at a portfolio levelYou thrive in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a live operating environment, collaborating effectively with design teams, contractors and stakeholdersA valid driver's license is required.Benefits and Culture:
