Project Director

Contract Duration: 3 year contract up front + 12 month extensionClearance Required: NV1 clearance requiredLocation: Canberra based onlyAs an experienced Project Director, you will be responsible for leading a small team to deliver the agency's Precinct Project and other capital works projects for its annual property capital works program. This includes:

Managing contractor performanceFocusing on stakeholder requirementsEnsuring safety and compliance

You will ideally have experience in managing large government projects with a strong background in ICT and design, and must also have experience in large government or similar organisations.Key Duties:

Develop, implement and evaluate project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework, considering project interdependencies.Collaborate with staff in immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholders.Oversee project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration within the building, including relocation/construction of the Infrastructure Lab. The space consists of an IT build room, IT secure build room, IT secure storeroom, and infrastructure lab rack room.

Selection Criteria:

Demonstrated experience in project management in large scale projects for government or similar organisations.Ability to contribute to the agency's continuous improvement by improving systems, processes, and tools related to project management and reporting.Ability to deliver the ICT and design elements.Excellent stakeholder management and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively that contributes to a cross-functional team development pipeline.Experience tracking a complex ICT project and providing support to clear blocking issues.Ability to produce talking points, project documentation, and undertake research and issue resolution independently.Demonstrated extensive experience in project management in large scale projects for government.
