Your new role
The role's primary objective is to develop and deliver assigned complex projects and priority infrastructure pipeline of works. This role is critical to the delivery of major marine and civil infrastructure projects, contributing to the Territory's growth as a thriving maritime services industry hub. Specific projects on hand include $0.5 billion and $1.4 billion marine and civil projects and $2 billion (est.) water projects.
The client delivers strategic infrastructure and developments to align infrastructure needs with Territory and population growth. It manages the delivery of significant enabling infrastructure projects and incorporates project execution teams. The client represents and champions the Territory's interests at a national level to meet and deliver infrastructure requirements, forging strong relationships with industry partners and Government agencies.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in project or program management or demonstrated relevant experience in the successful delivery of major and complex marine and civil projects. Strong and demonstrated project management skills and experience, in civil and particularly marine contract and construction management, and procurements for major and marine civil projects exceeding $100 million. Extensive experience in major marine and civil design, construction, and maintenance techniques for major marine infrastructure projects, with a focus on best-practice environmental management. Comprehensive knowledge and a demonstrated ability to interpret and report on complex geotechnical environments, reports and data with a specific focus on disciplines including marine dredging and piling operations, encompassing cutter suction and backhoe dredging, marine piling techniques and coordinating successful surveillance of the works and contractor activities, and proven experience in overcoming complex challenges in these disciplines. Proven experience in leading bespoke contracts and stakeholder negotiations, with a strong ability for dispute resolution in the pursuit of removing or reducing complex risks, and deployment of risk mitigation plans. High level oral and written communication skills including the ability to produce project reports and to effectively consult and collaborate and build strong working relationships with stakeholders and with people from diverse cultures. This role offers a Remuneration Package of $150,506 - $167,941 (including salary $148,302 - $161,638). Negotiation of higher salary, relocation costs and entitlements may be offered to the right candidate.
The position includes generous entitlements, including 6 weeks annual leave and other leave entitlements.
You will work in a new, modern office located at East Arm NT, within an assembled team, co-located with other contractors and nil cost undercover staff parking.
