The Project Director will be required to oversee and manage a project team with close consultation and coordination with all stakeholders and subject matter experts to implement business requirements and priorities to deliver solutions which achieve agreed business outcomes.
The Project Director will prioritize human-centered principles to ensure that the solutions meet the needs and expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive change and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. The successful candidate should display characteristics of self-discipline and resilience with an ability to stay calm under pressure, be proactive and persistent in the approach to achieving goals.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing a multi-year, multi-million dollar IT transformational project in a complex enterprise environment.
• Significant experience in project management with emphasis on strong project governance, planning and control, risk and issue management.
• Demonstrated ability to champion human-centered design principles throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
• Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in end to end delivery of significant business system and complex business change projects.
• Strengths in business requirements gathering, analysis, problem solving and coordination.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for team management and strong stakeholder engagement with ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in building, managing and leading high-performance teams to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes.
• High level written and verbal communication.
• High resilience and self-discipline.
• Knowledge and utilisation of Prince2 project management methodology is preferred.
• Formal qualifications in Project Management, IT or similar

• Prior experience working in and/or knowledge of the Education sector.
