The project and business model are robust and relatively de-risked, and the company is therefore ready to embark on the next stage of growth.More information can be found at https://www.veccogroup.com.au/About the Role:Vecco is seeking a Project Director to lead and deliver the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for the integrated project (mine and electrolyte facilities). This critical role will focus on managing the BFS while supporting the CTO to actively identify opportunities for further optimisation of the project scope and economics to secure a successful Financial Investment Decision. The role will be responsible for the successful completion of the BFS to progress the development of the integrated project, including mining, beneficiation, and refining through to manufacturing and product logistics. The mine will be open pit. The position is based in Brisbane and reports to the Managing Director.Additional Responsibilities:Proactively coordinate and manage the mine and downstream manufacturing BFS's with the appointed engineering consultants.Continuously challenge and identify opportunities to optimise project economics and to uncover new opportunities for project improvement.Support the CTO and consultants to complete the final BFS reports to the high-quality standard necessary to meaningfully engage with potential project financiers.Plan and oversee execution schedule for the mine and electrolyte manufacturing facility through detailed design and execution.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in engineering (mechanical, civil/structural, mining, process) as a minimum.Demonstrated Feasibility Study project management experience of mining projects, supported by a strong operational understanding of mining and processing project economics.Track record in successfully progressing feasibility studies to financial completion.Experience in progressing in-pit beneficiation unit operations (scrubbing, screening, slurry pumping), fine particle flotation technologies, hydrometallurgy unit operations (acid leaching, solvent extraction and filtration) will be highly regarded.Why Apply:We believe the position could be suited to an experienced Study Manager / Technical Manager who has experience developing mining projects and who is looking for the next step up to Project Director level.
