What does the job look like? The Project Director will lead and manage major infrastructure projects with a focus on the implementation of battery electric heavy vehicles and their associated infrastructure. The role involves working closely with government bodies, negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. This position requires a collaborative approach to achieve positive outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability.
Are you the one? The successful candidate will have experience in managing projects involving government entities, in either an infrastructure, (transport, EV's or energy projects) or from an engineering environment.
You will demonstrate a high level of engagement with business unit leaders and managers to support key business needs and drive commercial and strategic business outcomes. This will include:
Project Management: Lead and oversee infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines.Stakeholder Management: Engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project alignment and success.Facilitate negotiations and manage relationships to drive project outcomes.Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and accountability.Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of electric vehicles, especially heavy-duty vehicles, and associated infrastructure to project planning and execution.Utilize electrical engineering principles to guide project decisions and implementations.Other background/experience will include: Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.Experience in managing projects involving government entities.Proficiency in budget management and financial accountability.Ability to present to and influence senior executives and stakeholders.Knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001, sustainability platforms, CO2 emissions, energy, waste management – preferred.At Linfox, we are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where people can perform at their best.
