If you share our commitment, then consider Water Corporation as the next step in your career.About the roleWe have permanent opportunities for Project Directors to manage and lead a major capital works portfolio of infrastructure projects through their lifecycle from development through engineering, construction, commissioning and handover. You'll provide leadership, strategic direction and ensure good commercial outcomes by delivering value for money and fit for purpose assets to the client within technical, safety, environmental and quality standards. These roles will be based in our Leederville office.What the role will involveManage, lead and provide direction to project teams in the delivery of capital works projects.Develop and manage relationships with Program Managers, Asset Managers and other internal stakeholders to monitor their future project delivery requirements.Manage and provide direction to Project Managers in their management of multi-functional teams in the scoping, design, construction, commissioning and transfer of new assets and the close out of capital projects, ensuring lessons learnt are incorporated into the delivery of future projects.Ensure portfolio project risks are captured, mitigation measures are in place and monitor and report on their effectiveness ensuring that issues are dealt with in a timely manner.Manage and provide direction in the negotiation and establishment of contracts to procure services, equipment and works to achieve project objectives.Key skills and experienceYou'll have a qualification in engineering, project management or relevant discipline, along with significant construction management experience delivering infrastructure projects in a large multi-disciplined commercial organisation. We also require experience in engineering tendering, commercial review, contract award and management, with knowledge of complex water / wastewater related infrastructure assets, schemes and systems.
