About the RoleThe Project Development Manager is intended to be an integral part of the Business Development team for Mineral Technologies Engineering and Projects.
This role will focus on establishing a reliable pipeline of study and execution opportunities.
The role will principally target Australian projects with an important aspect being Western Australian mineral sands and iron ore beneficiation.The Project Development Manager's purpose is to manage key customer relationships for the purpose of pursuing and winning engineering project opportunities for the MT business.
The role will focus on pursuing opportunities for all aspects of the Engineering & Projects portfolio of engineered products and services.
Key Accountabilities are: Actively promote a Zero Harm culture and philosophy and act as a leader in the development of a safety culture within the company through personal example.Management of key accounts for key customers as allocated.Development of relationships across the customers business.Understanding the customers project pipeline and project stage.Identifying and positioning Mineral Technologies for opportunities within that customers pipeline.Tracking of individual projects across their lifecycle.Supporting the Engineering and Projects team in bid preparation and negotiation including, reviewing bid inputs and proposal documents as requested and contributing to negotiations as required.Work autonomously to identify and develop project opportunities for Mineral Technologies.Proactively engage with customer organisations across their business to understand project portfolios and pipelines.Proactively analyse the engineering and projects market to understand trends and position Mineral Technologies.Proactively engage with lab and partner organisations to develop teams for the pursuit of opportunities.About You Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering or Process Engineering.Engineering experience within the mineral processing sector preferably in mineral sands and/or iron ore beneficiation.Engineering studies and design experience for multi-disciplinary projects.Experience in Scoping, Prefeasibility, Feasibility and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) studies.EPC project execution experience preferably involving modular plant construction.Customer Management and Business Development experience, including Key Account Management and tendering and contract negotiation.What We Offer Employee benefits including health and wellness initiatives.Personalised career development and growth working with an industry leading team.Competitive remuneration package.Safety focused culture working within in leading services industry.Management support coupled with ongoing training and mentoring.Career enhancing opportunity to work within an ASX limited company.Downer Group is an employer that acknowledges and embraces the importance of our people's diverse experiences, talents, and cultures.
