Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Project Development Analyst to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.

THE ROLE PURPOSE AND SCOPE The Project Development Analyst is a key member of the Project Development Office within Amentum's Engineering, Projects, Integration & Construction (EPIC) team, based in Alice Springs.
This role is responsible for supporting schedule development, project proposal development, and cost analysis for the service and support of construction, operation, maintenance, and management of facility assets, infrastructure, and systems within the scope of Amentum programs and pursuits in Australia.
This position plays an integral role within a diverse and complex work environment, supporting the development and control of critical infrastructure configuration, construction, and project management.
The Project Development Analyst will work closely with the Project Development Manager, Master Scheduler, and Project Managers to establish, maintain, and update project schedules and proposal deliverables, as well as support the provision of information required for CDRL reporting.
This ensures all relevant parties adhere to agreed timelines and milestones, including costing, budget estimates, and change variations.
Your knowledge in project analytics will be pivotal in the successful implementation within the Project Development team and the broader EPIC environment, delivering a clear and robust solution that meets both corporate and customer expectations and goals, while aligning with relevant governing policies.
This position requires integration with stakeholders at all levels of the EPIC team, supporting the development of effective, efficient, and timely projects often under tight deadlines.
Your attention to detail, organizational abilities, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, will be advantageous.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
Support the development of high-level visibility reports and metrics to track progress and measure department outcomes.
Support the Master Scheduler in developing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly budgetary and schedule updates.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain real-time development status of all active projects Collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure schedule adherence and milestone targets are successfully met or mitigated.
Utilize strong data analysis skills in project scheduling, progress tracking, and cost price analysis.
Demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
Support the continuous improvement program of the project development department Exhibit strong written skills for report writing (MS Word) and preparation of presentation material (MS PowerPoint, MS Project).
Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliance at the site and within the workplace.
Perform any other reasonable duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Essential Diploma Qualifications Field: Business, Management, or Project Management.
Desirable Cert Qualifications Field: Business, Management, or Project Management.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Minimum Essential Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience working in in large-scale, complex projects.
Proficiency in MS Project or similar is essential.
Proposal and Project Management process knowledge Document Management experience Desirable Relevant industry scheduling related qualifications Demonstrated experience in scheduling for construction projects, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.
SharePoint experience MS Office suite of tools with specifics to MS Excel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.
