We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Delivery Engineer in our Engineering and Planning team in Brisbane, QLD or Fyshwick, ACT on an 18-month max term contract.
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing and coordinating technical activities to support the successful achievement of project goals and milestones across multiple projects.
Please note, this role will require occasional travel to site locations.
Key Responsibilities Specialise in LV and HV electrical design, instrumentation, and controls engineering, EEHA, support fault-finding, review earthing designs.
Ensure all work complies with AS3000, AS/NZ 60079-17, and AS/NZS 5139 standards.
Manage E&I projects from initial design to commissioning and final handover, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
Prepare, organise, and control technical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
Plan and supervise the construction, installation, commissioning, and handover process, ensuring all punch lists and close-out activities are completed efficiently.
Manage third-party inspections, testing, and approvals, including FAT, ITP, and SAT coordination and procedure approval.
Your Background Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent, with Engineers Australia (EA) membership required; Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status preferred or eligibility to attain it.
Extensive experience in operation, maintenance and minor projects in the oil and gas industry or a similar sector.
Familiarity with industrial control system programming and troubleshooting, including PLCs, RTUs, safety instrumented systems, and related devices (highly regarded).
Ability to perform electrical and instrumentation design activities and conduct technical reviews of others' work, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
Experience in participating in or leading HAZOPs, CHAZOPs, SIL, and LOPA studies and other risk assessments (preferred).
Ability to work autonomously and independently while maintaining alignment with project objectives.
