Mackay Regional Council is seeking a qualified and experienced person to lead a dedicated team of Project Managers to deliver on a significant portion of Council's Contract delivered Capital Works Program. The role will be responsible for the delivery of a range of Renewals, Upgrades and New projects for councils varying asset classes. The successful applicant will have strong leadership, project management, organisational and systems and processes background.

This is a permanent full-time position.

About this opportunity: Under broad direction, the Project Delivery Coordinator leads multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects within the Portfolio Management Office Program, applying the Council's Enterprise Project Management Framework to meet safety, environmental compliance, cost, time, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction standards. This role involves providing expert technical advice to internal stakeholders and external clients, managing resources, systems, and processes, and driving future programs to support Council's Capital Delivery Program.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Degree in Engineering, Building and Construction, Project Management; OR
Lesser formal qualifications with a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required at this level. QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent. Experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary contracts and projects using industry-standard methodologies, including planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, design, construction, commissioning of infrastructure, and supervising staff, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
