Applications open to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peopleApplications open to persons living with a disabilityFull-time, permanent position starting at $84,037 + 11.5% superAbout the Opportunity As part of the Park Lands, Policy & Sustainability Program, the Project Coordinator, Social Planning and Reconciliation will provide a full range of administrative and project support to the Social Planning and Reconciliation Team. The position will support the development, implementation and review of Council's Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, and provide administrative support to the Reconciliation Committee.
Some of the key current priorities of the team include:
Finalising and implementing the 2024-2027 Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.Supporting the functions of the City of Adelaide's Reconciliation Committee.Implementing City of Adelaide's Homelessness Strategy and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.Developing a new social equity framework aligned to Council's new 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.Please address the eligibility requirement in your cover letter. About You To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience in project management.Knowledge and understanding of the issues that impact on Aboriginal people and Aboriginal communities is desirable.Knowledge of community engagement principles and their application.Experience in providing a broad range of administrative services at an advanced level and with high levels of accuracy.An understanding of general urban and social policy issues relevant to local government including strategy and policy, social planning and reconciliation.High degree of information technology, organisational and time management skills.About Us Located in the geographic heart of Kaurna Country, the City of Adelaide celebrates its cultural heritage, unique natural surrounds and structures its footprint in a way that allows it to adapt to the changing needs of the community and a dynamic global landscape.
