Our Unit A unique opportunity exists to join the University of Newcastle as we embark on enhancing our strategic footing for the future. The team will define a path of performance excellence derived from a holistic approach and a collaborative culture that will sustain our world-class learning experience for students and support a high-performing research-intensive university.
The Team is responsible for providing resources, insights, and specialised support in the areas of project and change management, communications, and data-informed strategic insights.
Be challenged and imagine with usAs Project Coordinator Service Excellence, you will play a critical role in the coordination and management of key project milestones and deliverables within our Service Excellence Program.
You will work closely with the Academic Excellence team and broader University to contribute to the development of comprehensive project reports, engaging presentations, and various materials that support the successful delivery of strategic projects.
In this role you will:
Lead and support the planning and implementation of strategic change projects within the Service Excellence Program.Develop and design comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, project briefs, business cases, and change management strategies.Provide expert project management advice and support to Change Project Managers for effective project planning and delivery.This fixed term position is until December 2025, is full time, and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land). How will you inspire us?You will have:
Proven project management skills including experience working to competing deadlines to deliver priorities and tasks.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop accurate reports and engaging presentations.Experience using change management methodologies (PROSCI preferred) to drive successful change initiatives. The ability to build relationships and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.What we offerThe remuneration for this position isfrom$99,655 to $112,112+ 17%superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
