We are looking for Material Controller/ Project Coordinator to join our WA team.
About the role Your responsibilities will include: Inventory ManagementTracking Inventory: Maintain accurate records of telecommunications equipment and materials.Stock Replenishment: Ensure materials are ordered and replenished in time to meet project needs.Stock Audits: Conduct regular physical counts of materials to verify stock levels against inventory records, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Procurement and PurchasingMaterial Ordering: Source and purchase materials and equipment.Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
Ensure materials are delivered on time and meet required specifications.Receiving and InspectionMaterial Receipt: Oversee the receipt of materials and equipment, ensuring all items delivered match the specifications, quantities, and quality outlined in the purchase order.Documentation: Ensure proper documentation is maintained for received goods, including delivery receipts, invoices, and any discrepancies between orders and deliveries.Storage and OrganizationMaterial Storage: Ensure that materials are properly stored in a safe and organized manner.Labeling: Ensure all materials are properly labeled and categorized in the warehouse.Dispatch and DistributionMaterial Distribution: Coordinate the delivery of materials to installation sites or maintenance teams, ensuring that the correct materials are delivered based on project requirements.Logistics Coordination: Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of materials to various project locations.Project Support, Planning and CoordinationMaterial Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to determine the material requirements for upcoming installations.Forecasting Needs: Anticipate future material requirements based on project timelines and service contracts.Resource Allocation: Coordinate resources required for the project, ensuring availability and proper allocation throughout the project lifecycle.Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all activities are tracked and completed on time.Documentation and Record KeepingInventory Records: Maintain detailed records of all material transactions, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on material usage, stock levels, procurement status, and any issues affecting material availability or project timelines.Project Documentation: Maintain and organize all project documentation.Stakeholder CommunicationLiaise with Stakeholders: Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.Communication: Ensure clear, effective communication among all parties involved in the project.
Coordinate meetings, calls, and emails to discuss project requirements, progress, and any issues that arise.Team Collaboration and SupportSupport Technicians and Field Teams: Provide on-the-ground support to field technicians, helping with logistics and material delivery.Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience: Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Can-do attitude.Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence or Equivalent Overseas Drivers Licence (with Legal Translation) is required.Willing to learn to drive a Forklift.Police check (within 6 months): Must be clear with no convictions.Benefits: Tools, PPE, uniformsFurther training suppliedWork with a highly motivated & supporting crewWhat you'll get in return This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company.
