About the Opportunity

Reporting to the FCD Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will support the delivery of the Full Cycle Docking Project, and other Submarine Capability Development Group support activities as required. Additional activities include managing, planning, execution and closeout of minor projects or elements of projects and activities, including Services Instructions, project deliverables, business/process development and improvement projects, financial support and analysis.

The Project Coordinator will work within a multi-disciplinary environment, engaging with other functions such as Engineering, Supply, Procurement and Production to support the implementation of work breakdown structures and maintain project progress. They will be expected to problem solve, resolve issues associated with project workflows and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Supporting and assisting the effective management, coordination, preparation of and execution of project plans and activities.

Supporting and assisting with the execution of planning, development and maintenance of project performance baselines as well as engaging with the scheduling function to support schedule management creation and implementation through data collation, financial reporting, measuring work progress, analysing variances, developing corrective actions and KPI management.

Participating in project risk management, specifically assessments and opportunity reviews, including the development and proactive management of risk mitigation/opportunity realisation strategies. This includes capturing any Lessons Learned for future evaluation and implementation.

Support and assist in the development and retention of project planning documents, briefing notes, presentations, and other project correspondence and communication materials.

Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships across the complete range of business functions such as project controls, scheduling, planning, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Supply and Safety.

About you

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
