Details of the offer

3 Years Fixed Term Part-time 0.5FTE $93,066 - $98,730 Pro rata (G06) Plus 17% superannuation Based on Bentley Campus WA Job Reference: 739899 About The Role: A research team from the School of Management & Marketing in the Faculty of Business & Law at Curtin University aims to recruit a suitably qualified research assistant (RA) for their recently funded ARC Discovery Project, Optimising Benefits of Cultural Diversity in Australian Healthcare Sector. The project comprises several inter-related studies, aimed at helping improve the HRM policies and practices, and services delivered within the health sector across Australia. The RA is expected to engage with the project team at all stages of this multi-disciplinary project, encompassing both services marketing/marketing and organisational behaviour / HRM, so it is anticipated the RA will have qualifications in one of these areas, or in a cognate discipline. The RA will be employed on a 0.5 FTE basis [2.5 days per week on average] for a 3-year period starting from 1 January 2025, at a rate consummate with their academic qualifications and research experience. This position would be based on the Bentley campus of Curtin University in Perth, Australia. We anticipate that the RA will be a recent graduate with either a PhD or research Masters, and willing to undertake a wide range of tasks to help further the aims and project outcomes. Typically, project tasks would include helping with literature reviews, research ethics applications, data collection, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, engaging with industry stakeholders, arranging symposiums and other on-campus events, as well as general project administration duties. Project Summary: Australian society and workplaces are increasingly becoming culturally diverse with growing numbers of immigrants from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds. However, it is not clear to what extent this diversity is being harnessed to improve organisational performance by leveraging the diverse range of knowledge and skills of CaLD customers and employees. This project aims to use social identity theory and role theory to develop a comprehensive conceptual model for the process by which organisations identify, acknowledge, engage, accept, and adapt to cultural and linguistic diversity among their customers and employees. We also plan to test this model with data from customers and employees in other areas of the Australian service sector. Essential Criteria (Please ensure you meet before applying) Must hold a PhD or a Research Masters Qualification Join Us! To apply for this position, please click apply and submit your most updated Resume and a brief statement in a cover letter (2 – 4 Paragraphs) explaining your motivation and suitability for this role.
