Are you interested in joining a team that's delivers large scale transmission projects? The Team/Department:  You will be joining Western Power's Network Delivery Team within our Asset Operations Business Unit. Project Coordinators are responsible for three main activities, supporting Project Managers to delivery transmission projects, regular communication with key stakeholders and ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.
The Network Delivery Team consists of approximately 70 team members, the team members are split into 5 smaller teams who delivery a mix of transmissions and distribution projects. You'll be working in a fairly large team you will get exposure to various projects and team members which is a great way to develop and hone your skills aligned to your professional development goals.
What you will be doing:  As a Project Coordinator, you will also be focusing on the following:
Supporting Project Managers with the delivery projects to the agreed scope, time, and cost without compromising quality, while performing detailed project analysis to support these outcomes. Accurately identify stakeholders' needs, respond with empathy, and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and integrity. Identify and actively manage project assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies associated with delivery ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are established and actively managed. Assist in reporting the status of the assigned projects pro-actively to key stakeholders, by utilising suite of systems (Ellipse, ARIBA, P6, MS Project, OPPM, MS Office), to assist in managing cost, resource and materials schedules. Ensure that all project documentation is completed appropriately aligned to governance and compliance requirements. The skills and experience you will have: We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
A tertiary qualification in project management, business systems or a relevant discipline. (E.g. ICT, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture for Real Estate Projects) / HR and / or extensive and demonstrated practical expertise knowledge and industry experience Demonstrable capability and experience in program and / or project planning, integration, and communication in a utility industry or similar, with strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience in stakeholder management building rapport and gaining consensus. Demonstrable capability and experience in the relevant project management discipline or area with applied knowledge in either of the following disciplines: estimating, civil, structural, building services engineering, architecture, human resources etc. Demonstrated experience in a project office or project management environment in a relevant project management discipline or area with strong experience in planning and scheduling, project reporting, document control and business analysis.
