Fixed Term, Full time or Part Time Contract to December 2025Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leaveSalary packaging up to $15,900 tax freeFixed Term, Full time (1.0 FTE) or Part Time (0.8 FTE) Contract until December 2025.Based in CairnsDo you have a passion for engaging with and mobilising stakeholders, strong project management skills, and experience or ability to undertake research administration tasks?Menzies is looking for a Project Coordinator to undertake engagement and co-design research activities.If this sounds like you, join our team to help make a difference.The Role:Enter The Diabetes Across the Lifecourse: Northern Australia Partnership commenced in 2011 in the Northern Territory and expanded into Far North Queensland (FNQ) in 2016.Originally focused on the establishment of a clinical register and research activities to improve the care and outcomes for women (and their babies) who have had a pregnancy complicated by diabetes, our work has now expanded to include a focus on type 2 diabetes in children and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.This leadership role will undertake engagement and co-design activities to improve health systems and health outcomes to reduce diabetes related risks for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women before, during and after pregnancy.About you:As a motivated individual, you will come with a passion for engaging with and mobilising stakeholders, of working in a culturally responsive manner, strong project management skills, and the experience/ability to undertake research administration skills. You also have:Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in a relevant field (e.g. public health); or extensive management experience and proven management expertise in a research or capacity development setting; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.Demonstrated project management/coordination experience including the capacity to prioritise tasks, time management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to develop relationships and work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders from varied backgrounds.Please see a full list of primary responsibilities and selection criteria in the position description.Menzies is a national leader in research and education that improves health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and populations across our region.
