The Role
Project Coordinator – reporting to the Branch Manager of Karratha, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and repair projects involving hydraulic equipment at various mine sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mining operations and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers.
This position is a Full-Time position based in our Karratha Branch working Monday to Friday with some site work as required. FIFO opportunities from Perth may be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage maintenance and repair projects for hydraulic equipment to ensure timely and effective execution according to client requirements.
Collaborate with clients to understand project needs, develop project plans, and establish timelines and budgets.
Liaise with internal teams (engineering, operations, and safety) to align project objectives and resource allocation.
Communicate with suppliers and service providers to procure necessary materials and services, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies throughout all phases of the project.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members and contribute to problem-solving during project execution.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency.
Compliance to company processes and procedures and ISO 9001/29001.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in within the mining or hydraulic equipment industry.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic equipment, maintenance processes, and mining operations.
Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
Exceptional organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field (preferred).
