Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Project Coordinator to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia. THE ROLE PURPOSE AND SCOPE The Project Coordinator works as part of the larger Amentum Projects and Construction team in achieving Project and Program success through coordinated delivery of a program of works.
The Project Coordinator provides support maintaining work scheduling data, work status-to-date, process controls and forecasts completions. The Project Coordinator provides support to Project Managers, sub-contractors, and varied stakeholders.
Responsibilities/Duties Provide support to the Project Manager, ensuring department and project objectives regarding budget, schedule and quality targets are achieved.Compile material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.Provide high level coordination support, liaison, and communication with internal and external stakeholders to enable project and portfolio works to occur.Provides support to the proposals team prior to, during and following tenders, including organizing project documentation, providing vendor feedback and supporting contract negotiations.Support the Project Manager with the implementation of the Project Management Plan for all phases of the project (Project Initiation, Project Execution, Construction, etc.).Provide support to manage the project scope, ensuring adherence to the contractual baseline defined in the approved statement of work and contract. Notify the Project Manager of any observed variations.Monitor and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis, ensuring the Project Manager is always updated.Understand site requirements, specifically the implementation of US versus Australian design standards and CONUS versus OCONUS procurement.Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements.Any other reasonable duties as requested.QUALIFICATIONS Undergraduate Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in Engineering, Construction or Project Management or other relevant discipline.Drivers License.EXPERIENCE – Minimum Essential Demonstrated 2+ years of relative experience applicable in the field of operations, maintenance, and construction or engineering.Demonstrated ability to manage both subcontractors and consultants.Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of schedule, scope, and budget management.WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS The position is desk based and sedentary in nature; the ability to lift items up to 5kgs may be required occasionally.STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS At least 18 years of age.Able to fluently read, write and speak English.Australian or US citizen.EHS REQUIREMENT All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements.
