OverviewThe Senior Project Controls Specialist is an individual contributor with specialized knowledge and skills responsible for the development and preparation of Project Controls deliverables on the assigned project with minimal supervision and/or oversight.
The role directly reports to Manager of Project Controls and Project Manager assigned and routinely interacts with Senior Operations professionals within the organization.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for project Cost Forecasting, Scheduling/Planning, Progress Measurement & Reporting, Change Management & Risk Management facilitator.Develops the WBS and CBS for control and requirements as defined by the contract and execution plan.Develops integrated EPC cost and schedule program including reporting.Develops and maintain progress measurement system applicable to the project.Analyzes cost and schedule data including the PSR and recommends solutions or recovery plans to impacts or delays.Monitors status of risks & opportunities as well as cost and progress trends.May provide direct supervision as required to a small team of Project Control resources on one or a group of projects.Regularly interfaces with Senior Management and Clients.Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and adherence to internal controls and procedures.QualificationsCollege or University Diploma, Typically in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering7 - 10 years of relevant experienceMinimum 5 years experience working with Primavera (P6) and/or other scheduling/planning softwareMinimum 5 years experience with Cost Control, Forecasting and ManagementGood Understanding of Change & Risk managementSkills and BehaviorsGood knowledge of CB&I Products and capabilitiesPractical experience in the use and understanding of company's job cost management and scheduling systems and associated practices and policies.Construction experience and planning acumenProactively identifies and solves the complex problemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMentally agile and ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlinesHigh emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organizationAdaptability and agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environmentsStrong communication and presentation skill, both written and verbalProactively embraces and promotes the company's values and culture, including diversity & inclusion and a healthy and safe work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
