In the role of Project Controls Specialist, we'll count on you in the following key areas:
Project Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules and narratives based on production and estimate information from project personnel including engineers and project managers.
Develop and maintain project cost information, including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecast and explanation of variances Utilise Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other scheduling software to perform in-depth analysis of project schedules (to include cost / resource loaded schedules), review delay claims for time entitlement and assist in resolution of project disputes Independently review, analyse, and report on baseline schedules, monthly schedule updates, and time impact (entitlement) analyses Report on findings and assist the client with the negotiation of time extensions Ensure project planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project-related activities comply Identify and report the impact of performed and delayed work by updating the project-approved schedule and financial reporting programs.
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of Change Orders and additional work Develop Time Impact Analyses in the support of Change Order requests / reviews Project Controls: Develop / implement project dashboards and collaboration sites to support monitoring and status communication to the project/program management team Collaboratively resolve review comments with other scheduling staff, contractors, and client Perform quality control review of project control reports and verify timely execution Review the accuracy of progress measurement and earned value reporting Utilise a procedural framework and tools for preparing, reporting, and recording variances Follow appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information Take part in project control meetings with the project team General: Assist in maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clients Proactively seek collaboration and cooperation Satisfactorily respond to client needs and priorities Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Business.
Demonstrated experience in major transport design and/or construction projects experience including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports Ability to interpret construction schedules Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree
