We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Controls Specialist to join our Infrastructure Projects team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a 12-Month Max-Term Contract.
Reporting to the Team Leader Project Controls, you will be responsible for working within all stages of project management, with a key focus on cost control.
The primary role is to work closely with the project and program management teams to ensure that all budgeting, cost control, reporting and coordination processes run effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Preparing project reports by gathering progress updates from site teams and collaborating with key stakeholders Updating contractor forecast costs monthly in coordination with the downstream contracts team Ensuring the quality assurance function for all cost control activities in ARES Prism and Power BI reporting.
Working closely with project schedulers to align cost control system with schedule milestones as required, along with identifying and analysing impacts from any potential risks that may impact the project financial forecasts Working closely with Finance and Estimating teams to assist in the initialisation of project budgets and tracking of actuals and forecast on a regular basis Your background Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Business/Commerce (preferred).
Experience with ARES Prism utilising the cost and change modules.
Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel Demonstrated understanding/knowledge of project execution processes/work flow, cost control, schedule baseline development and maintenance, progress measurement and project management reporting systems Working at APA At APA we're committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
