Here at Concentis, we have an exciting opportunity with one of our multinational mining clients to source a Project Controls Specialist to work across a diverse portfolio. In this role, you will work to support multiple project requirements while liaising with internal and external stakeholders on exciting pivotal sustaining, improvement, and compliance projects. This role is a Monday - Friday role on an initial 12-month contract. This will be an ongoing contract role with long-term continuity, development, and growth-focused work within a great team.
Accountabilities: Supporting multiple projects and project managers concurrently from a planning, scheduling, and cost control perspective, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Maintaining collaborative relationships with contracting teams and other planning and costing entities on-site, ensuring seamless coordination and adherence to project timelines and budget restrictions. Creating, maintaining, and reporting on project forecasting and other project controls data. Identifying improvement opportunities for streamlining project controls work processes. Developing and updating progress, commodity curves, and resourcing loading schedules, integrating cost control measures to optimize project performance. Engaging and cultivating relationships with internal (projects, operations, maintenance) and external (design consultants, construction contractors) stakeholder groups to facilitate effective project controls and mitigate risks. About You: Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and costing within the mining, heavy industry or oil and gas sectors. Strong experience and knowledge across SAP, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a cross-functional PMO environment. Basic knowledge of project management and strong documentation ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of team culture.
