Position Summary This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to join our project management team.
The Project Controls Officer supports the Project Team with administering and controlling all aspects of vessel projects. This includes the creation and administration of project plans, project documents, project controls and schedules. The role prepares monthly status reports and identifies and escalates project risks and issues as they arise.
Qualifications and Experience Qualification in Planning or Project Management MS Project SkillsKey Responsibilities Assist the Project Team in monitoring, controlling and administering the progress and performance of vessel projects.Support the Project team in developing and maintaining project plans and schedules for carrying out the project and identify resourcing requirements with internal stakeholders.Maintain vessel project schedules through regular discussion with internal stakeholders and provide key milestone information and progress information for monthly project reporting.Analyse and identify discrepancies between estimated and actual time spent on vessel projects.Provide project planning support including scheduling, performance monitoring, variance analysis, status reporting and resource planning.Lead the evaluation of project time and milestone targets applying governance controls as necessary to enable the successful delivery of vessel projects.Identify trends and root causes of deviations against the schedule and plan using lead and lag time indicators.Coordinate planning sessions with all disciplines to compile master project schedule for each vessel agreeing baselines and the critical path. Perform proper tracking of vessel project schedules in order to proactively escalate corrective actions/measures when necessary.Want to know more?
