About the opportunityThe Project Controls Manager—SSN AUKUS, reporting to the Program Management Office Delivery Manager SSN AUKUS, ensures the PMO supports the SSN AUKUS Program by developing and implementing a Project Controls approach tailored for the Australian Shipbuilder during the Mobilisation and Build phases.
ResponsibilitiesReport to the Program Management Office Delivery Manager SSN AUKUS.Develop and implement a Project Controls approach for the Australian Shipbuilder during Mobilisation and Build phases.Implement Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Integrated Scheduling system for internal and external reporting.Manage Program Control Analysts and Schedulers, ensuring consistent schedule and cost control.Ensure data consistency between ASC's corporate systems and assist project teams with initiatives.Develop and maintain key metrics to track SSN AUKUS performance.Train staff on scheduling and EVMS tools, ensuring compliance with contractual and corporate requirements.About youTertiary qualification in Project Management, Commerce/Economics, Engineering and/or equivalent experience.10 to 15+ years' experience within Project Controls, Cost Control, Cost Estimating, Project Accounting or Project Planning/Scheduling.Demonstrated ability to facilitate the effective implementation and execution of standard (good) practice of Earned Value Management including Baseline Change Management, Variance Analysis, Earned Value Analysis and Schedule Management.Demonstrated experience with training and mentoring staff to consistently and effectively apply the discipline of Earned Value Management using an EVMS tool.Demonstrated competency in interpretation of contractual terms and conditions and facilitation of the delivery of periodic deliverables in accordance with contractual reporting requirements.A detailed understanding of PMBOK categories.Advanced skills and understanding of COBRA, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Power BI.Primavera P6 Professional Fundamentals, or equivalent.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communication, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and ability to train team members.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
