About the role We are seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our Perth based Projects team.
Reporting to the Vice President of Projects, you will be responsible for leading and managing the project controls function to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of project performance metrics.
Brief duties Develop and maintain project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resourceloaded schedules (RLS) in coordination with project teams.Implement scheduling methodologies and tools to optimize project timelines, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.Monitor schedule performance, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions to mitigate delays and optimize project progress.Lead the cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for engineering projects based on project scope, specifications, and resource requirements.Monitor project expenditures, track budget variances, and analyse cost performance against baseline budgets.Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate with project teams to integrate risk management strategies into project plans and decision-making processes.Provide timely and accurate analysis of project performance data, trends, and forecasts to support informed decision-making and corrective actions.Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including change orders, approvals, and correspondence, to support audit trails and project histories.Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities.Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and other stakeholders to align project controls activities with project requirements and objectives.About you Tertiary degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field - Desirable10+ years' experience in a similar role - EssentialProject Management Certification (CPPP) - AdvantageousTier 1 project experienceEPCM/EPC exposureProficiency in project management software and ERP systemsPrimavera P6 - AdvantageousMS Office expertExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trendsEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholdersHere at DRA, we offer Competitive and above market salary packages with regular market analysisA fresh & modern office in the Perth CBD with access to end of trip facilitiesFlexible start and finish times allowing for great work life balanceAccess to salary packaging benefitsA great social committee offering a range of social events and wellbeing activitiesAn inclusive, collaborative and supportive team environment providing you with the tools to succeedWe value diversity and the benefits it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people.
