Reporting to theProject Manager,the Project Controls Manager will deliver, maintain, and manage a standard and consistent full suite of Project Controls, i.e., Cost Estimating, Cost Management, Planning & Scheduling, Risk & Change Management, progress measurement and project analysis with consistent and accurate reporting on all project activities.
The tasks you'll perform Assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of Project Control Procedures and Processes, in particular cost control and scheduling.
Provide input and support in relation to the Project Control Work Breakdown Structure.
Assist in establishing control budget, schedule and baseline project quantities for measurement, change control, analysis, forecasting and reporting Monitor Project performance including costs, progress against schedule, safety, and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment of critical performances across all business units.Evaluate project progress to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline objectives.Recognise progress concerns and report immediately to the Project Managers to ensure projects are completed within both budgetary and schedule constraints.Collate and compile project reporting requirements in accordance with company and Client standards to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Prepare project specific reports including progress, financial and resource information, including actual costs, earned value and forecasts.Manage and coordinate inputs from various team members including engineering, procurement, contracts, project and construction in order to establish detailed cost, man-hour controls and schedule.
Co-ordination of change management in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Manage Specific Project Control's Team's daily and weekly tasks.Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Project Controls team as required.Maintain internal and external relationshipsMentor, lead and assist with the professional development of the services teamUndertake routine performance appraisals with the team both formal and informalThe expertise you'll bring 10+ years' in a similar role with relevant industry experience (mineral processing experience highly regarded).Undergraduate qualification in Engineering or Accounting/Commerce.Thorough and extensive knowledge of Project control principles, theories, concepts, tools and reporting.Exceptional ability to multitask and work at pace in a complex and challenging EPCM sector.Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams in high-pressure Project environments.Provide mentoring and identify avenues of professional development and succession planning for personnel within your business unit.Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement systems and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.A focus on creating, fostering and managing people relationships for diverse, high-performance teams.Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.The benefits we'll provide Lycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
