That's the #powerofexperience.About the opportunityThe Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, new traffic management technology and Melbourne's first dedicated busway. These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne's east. Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP. Our scope of work includes:A new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels.Major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road.Smart traffic management technology upgrades.New noise protection to meet Victoria's toughest traffic noise standards.The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to join us on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance. This is your opportunity to contribute to the biggest ever investment in Melbourne's North East.Key responsibilitiesLead the project Controls team.Establish and maintain project cost control function, WBS, cost management processes, and progress measurement.Configure and utilize cost management software (e.g., PRISM G2) for data entry, reporting, and integration.Coordinate monthly cost processes: accruals, actuals, forecasts, variance analysis, trend monitoring.Produce comprehensive cost reports with detailed analysis for stakeholders.Manage change management processes, tracking changes and cost implications.Collaborate on risk management, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, reconcile discrepancies, ensure accurate data models and reports.Optimize cost control processes, leveraging best practices and industry standards.Collaborate with project teams, aligning cost control activities with project objectives.About youYou will have:Experience in cost controls for engineering, construction, and capital works projects.Analytical and problem-solving skills, interpreting complex data and providing insights.Communication and interpersonal skills, presenting financial information to stakeholders.Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., PRISM G2), Excel, and data visualization tools.Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills.Advanced skills in the below would be advantageous:PRISM G2 or equivalent Cost Management System.MS 365 (mainly Excel).MS Power Platform.BenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
