Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Project Controls Lead to join our team in our Perth office to oversee cost management and reporting functions for our projects. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring project success through effective coordination, analysis, and communication.
About the role Analyse project cost performance, track expenditures, and forecast future costs to support budget management and financial planning. Mentor and support junior project controls staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring consistency and accuracy in project controls practices. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data and inputs for project controls activities. Prepare regular reports and presentations on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to project teams and clients. About You Degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or related field. Proven experience in a similar position within project controls, preferably in the mining & minerals industry or related sectors. Proficiency in project management software such as Oracle, Ecosys, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent. Proficient in advanced data analysis and reporting, with expertise in applications such as Power Pivot and Power BI. Skilled in transforming raw data into actionable insights, creating dynamic visualizations to drive informed decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward common goals. Knowledge of mining industry regulations, standards, and best practices is desirable. Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are a plus. Why Ausenco?
