We're changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change? The Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.We are currently looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and track all cost-related activities within the HumeLink West Joint Venture. This role includes monitoring project budgets, progress, and performance, as well as analysing costs to support the creation of accurate forecasts. Throughout the project's delivery, you will also promote financial efficiency.Please note this role will initially be based in Sydney, with transition into a site delivery role requiring DIDO/FIFO or relocation where additional allowances will apply.About the RoleEstablish communication with site team to receive weekly status of works and physical progress data.Perform weekly updates of project schedule, communicate changes in critical path, milestone dates and highlight delays and potential schedule slippages to the project manager.Prepare look ahead schedules to support site construction operations.Participate in discussions for application of standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with Project Manager, Contract Administrator (CA) and other team members and consistent use and/or mapping across the project for various systems used on the project such as P6, SAP, FPM, Earn Value Reporting etc.Develop resource loaded baseline schedules for assigned projects in primavera P6 system.About YouA relevant four-year engineering degree.At least 2-5 years project controls experience (preferably on-site construction related to planning, scheduling, progress measurement, earn value analyses and reporting).Sound understanding of Project Controls processes particularly critical path method, principles of Earn Value system based on tangible quantities, unit rates and 'Rules of Credits'.Proficiency in Cost related software desirable (SAP or JDE, FPM, Rover, Minerva, CATs).Proficient in use of scheduling software systems particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
