Project/Contract Manager - Fixed Term to 09/10/2025Organisation/Entity: Transport For NSWJob category: ProjectsJob location: Orange, NSW, AU, 2800Job reference number: 96148Employment type: Fixed Term Full-TimeSalary range: $139285.0-$152216.0You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.In this role, you'll:Lead slope remediation projects from design through to delivery, including contractor management, financial oversight, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.Collaborate closely with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes, including managing large-scale contracts.Manage project budgets and provide regular reports on project progress to ensure completion within agreed timeframes, cost, quality, and scope requirements.This is an opportunity to work on unique, challenging projects in stunning, heritage-protected locations such as Two Mile Hill and Mt Victoria, overseeing contracts for complex works such as soil nailing, shotcrete, and drainage upgrades on difficult terrain.This is an on-site Fixed-term full-time role to 9/10/2025. There is flexibility to work from our Orange, Bathurst or Lithgow offices. You will be required to work on-site several days per week for construction projects at various locations based around the greater Blue Mountains region within the Oberon and Lithgow Local Government Areas.Minimum Requirements:Hold a four-year engineering degree or equivalent in a related discipline and have relevant experience managing large construction projects.Demonstrated experience in managing road, bridge or traffic infrastructure or slope remediation projects with proven ability to oversee projects in challenging environments, balancing WHS, financial, and stakeholder demands.Expertise in contract management, including engaging and managing contractors and stakeholders, as well as strong relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate complex contract negotiations and resolve issues in scope interpretation.It is essential that you possess a current Australian driver's license and be willing to travel and work outside regular hours as needed, depending on the project requirements, therefore flexibility is key.Who we are: Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
