We provide global consultancy advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an environmental consultant to join our internationally recognised Environmental Management Permitting and Compliance team based out of our growing Melbourne office. The team provides a wide range of project management, statutory planning, post-consent environmental management services and works alongside other specialist teams in SLR to deliver a complete planning and environmental service to clients across a range of sectors. The closing date for this opportunity is Friday 21 June 2024.

Articulate, motivated and reliable, you will have 1-3 years experience in consulting, government, or industry. You will enjoy undertaking project work whilst learning from an experienced team and developing client relationships throughout the region. You will collaborate with the renowned national Environmental Team, as well as many more technical experts across our 21 Disciplines & 23 offices in APAC. Key Responsibilities Job tasks and responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the development and implementation of team business plans and strategiesDeveloping, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team membersProviding advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment, planning and management principles to clients and internal SLR team membersWorking within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectorsDelivering clear and precise, high-quality reportsOccasional travel to undertake field studiesSkills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and engaging character with a great sense of humour as well as have:
A degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 1 years' experience in the environmental field
Experience in post-consent services will be favourableDemonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projectsWorking knowledge of VIC planning & environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines will be held in high regardExperience consulting in the mining, infrastructure, power and/or agribusiness sectorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAustralian Citizenship or rights to work in AustraliaExcellent driving history and hold a current driver's licenseBenefits
