We provide global consultancy advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients.Due to exciting opportunities that have arisen, we are now seeking a junior CFD Consultant to join our Sydney team.
Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for:
Conducting engineering assessments, preparing reports for proposed commercial and residential developments in the following disciplines:BASIX and NatHERSBCA/NCC Section J/JV3Nabers and Green StarLighting and solar accessPreparing scaled models of surrounding buildings for wind tunnel testingPreparing geometry for CFD ModellingSolar glare and reflectivityEnergy modelling in IESVEConsulting with clients (mostly architects and developers) and providing design recommendations relating to the above assessmentsReporting to the technical directorRetaining client relationships by meeting deadlines and providing high quality reports and consultationKey Skills / Experience: Mechanical Engineering Qualifications, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.Ideally 1-2 years' experience within a similar position and consultancy businessProven technical and industry experience in energy efficiency, developing energy saving initiatives, Energy Rating assessments, renewables, and Green Star.ABSA Accreditation is idealExcellent communication skills and comfortable in presenting to new clients and major stakeholder groupsProficient in MS Office (Excel, Word Processing)Proven written and verbal skills: excellent report writing skills is essentialWell educated in Heat Transfer and Fluid MechanicsAbility to review and understand architectural drawingsA good understanding in building physics and building materialsA good understanding on building HVAC and ventilation systemsExperience using CAD software (e.g.
