Project Communications Specialist - FMHRPPosted Tuesday 10 December 2024 at 1:00 pmPart-Time (0.6) Fixed-Term until July 2025Based at our Prison Service Office located in DerrimutJustice Health's Mental Health Reform Team is leading the Forensic Mental Health Service Recommissioning Project (FMHRP) over the next 10 months, with aims to deliver on:New Forensic Mental Health Quality FrameworkNew Commissioning Approach (including service specifications, funding, and reporting) between Forensicare and Justice HealthTo achieve these deliverables for reform, Justice Health have engaged Forensicare to collaboratively codesign the recommissioning of Forensic Mental Health services.
Whilst Justice Health will oversee the Project governance, Forensicare have established a project team who collaborate with Justice Health, and across Forensicare programs and directorates (including Strategy and Planning, Health Information Services, and Finance and Business Services) to inform and influence the key project deliverables.In addition to the above aims, this project has been expanded to include the decommissioning of Port Phillip Prison, the relocation of Forensicare's services at Port Phillip Prison to another prison site, and the commissioning of the new Western Plains Correctional Centre.About the Role:As a member of Forensicare's FMHRP Team, the role supports the communications and change management processes associated with the implementation of the recommissioning project outcomes.Duties:Develop and implement a communications plan and change management materials to support the decommissioning of PPP, commissioning of new services at RCC and WPCC, and implementation of Project outcomes across public prisons.Contribute to the design and development of communication and change materials for use by leaders across the Prison Directorate.Provide support to leaders across the Prison Directorate to communicate and champion the change process within their teams.Ensure effective and collaborative working relationships with members of the project team, Prison Directorate leaders, and relevant external stakeholders.About You:Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, and advocacy or related field, coupled with five years or more experience working in a similar role.Demonstrated experience in working on projects with tight time frames.Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering high-quality, innovative strategic internal communication strategies that help deliver on organisational objectives.Experience creating engaging, relevant, and audience-focused internal communication content to effectively reach target audiences.Understanding of change management principles and experience applying these in the context of change communications.Experience in coaching leaders in the change process and supporting them in the application of change management tools.
