You'll be responsible for planning and conducting assurance and risk activities across our major project's portfolio.You will ensure effective risk management within major projects at the portfolio level, including risk identification, planning, analysis, evaluation, management, communication, and reporting. You will support the embedding of an integrated risk-based assurance model and the delivery of project maturity assessments, stage gate reviews, health checks, deep dives, and independent assurance review activities. Additionally, you will contribute risk and assurance expertise to project investment proposals, providing support and context through the governance pathway from project level to board submissions.This role will work closely with Project Directors, Launch Directors, and Functional Directors to provide specialist project assurance and risk advice throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. You will conduct risk awareness workshops, oversee relationships with key assurance and risk partners, and drive continuous improvement through trend reporting. You will also be accountable for the timely planning and delivery of assurance and risk activities, establishing and supporting assurance and risk information repositories, and providing process analysis and optimization expertise to improve business productivity.The community you will joinBased in our Bowen Hills office you will report to the Major Projects Assurance, Governance and Risk Manager within our Major Projects Office, the group that exists to manage the governance which underpins our large-scale projects - establishing our strategic aspiration to become a major developer that safely delivers complex and significant CAPEX projects over the next decade.This team has established a dynamic culture of innovation and improvement, where each member's unique expertise is further enhanced by a focus on collaboration and team delivery, ultimately leading to the collective success.Your expertiseDegree level qualification in business, project management, finance or allied discipline or lower-level qualification coupled with significant experience within a project delivery environmentYou will have expert knowledge of assurance and risk in large-scale, complex infrastructure project environments.
