Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced Part-Time Project Architect to join their team and play a crucial role in the delivery of a significant, high-profile tertiary education project.
This role will involve working closely with the builder and on-site team to ensure the successful execution of the project.
The role would be the equivalent of 2-3 days per week, ideally spaced over 4-5 days, making it suitable for a semi-retired individual or a parent looking for work during school hours.
Key Responsibilities: On-Site Coordination: Regular site visits to monitor construction progress, assess site conditions, and address any design or construction issues that may arise.Design Review and Coordination: Review shop drawings, construction documents, and specifications to ensure compliance with the design intent and project requirements.Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the construction team to resolve design and construction challenges, providing creative solutions and technical expertise.Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with the client and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.Documentation: Liaise with the Melbourne-based team to ensure accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, site instructions, and variation orders.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.Proven experience in project management and construction administration.Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently.A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.To Apply: Please call Leigh Monro on 0451 674 *** or apply via the links.
