Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Part-Time Project Architect to join their team and play a crucial role in the delivery of a significant, high-profile tertiary education project. This role will involve working closely with the builder and on-site team to ensure the successful execution of the project. The role would be the equivalent of 2-3 days per week, ideally spaced over 4-5 days, making it suitable for a semi-retired individual or a parent looking for work during school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Coordination: Regular site visits to monitor construction progress, assess site conditions, and address any design or construction issues that may arise. Design Review and Coordination: Review shop drawings, construction documents, and specifications to ensure compliance with the design intent and project requirements. Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the construction team to resolve design and construction challenges, providing creative solutions and technical expertise. Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with the client and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns. Documentation: Liaise with the Melbourne-based team to ensure accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, site instructions, and variation orders. Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent. Proven experience in project management and construction administration. Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
