Find a career that matters and lasts The purpose of the Project Approvals Specialis t is to provide subject matter advice and expertise in relation to projects and the associated approvals such as Ministerial Infrastructure Designations, town planning and environmental approvals, for the delivery, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of Powerlink's infrastructure and assets.
Here's how:
? Provide expert and professional advice relating to project and land approvals matters, including town planning and environment.
? Provide strategic and solution orientated advice regarding the approvals processes where required.
? Actively monitor external regulatory frameworks and managing engagement with external parties.
? Co-ordinate external specialist consultancy advice for projects including environmental studies and corridor selection.
? Lead the delivery of advice, analysis and reviews on complex statutory planning proposals.
The community you will join Based in Bowen Hills, you will join a high performing team that proactively engages with landholders, developers and other key community stakeholders to ensure we can continue to safely and reliably operate and maintain our network. You will help provide advice as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with down-to-earth people who you're proud to work with and get to know.
Your expertise ? Degree level qualification in Town Planning, Environment or relevant field.
? Proven experience working in a similar or related role.
? Advanced knowledge and experience in Environmental approvals, Planning regulatory approvals, relevant legislation and Acts.
? Demonstrated track record of strategic land use planning and Land Use Planning policies, legislation and procedures
? Demonstrated ability to lead and develop strategic property objectives and project plans based on relevant inputs including external scans and vision/strategy material.
? Strong stakeholder engagement communication and interpersonal skills
We'd also love you to have: ? Certified/registered practicing planner or similar professional would be desired.
? Significant experience in property, property management, or a related discipline related to the energy sector would be an advantage.
