Current Opportunity
The Project Approvals Lead will play a pivotal role in managing and administering the pre-development planning process.
This position is responsible for overseeing the submission and tracking of Project documentation from initiation through to commencement of construction, ensuring alignment with all internal stakeholders and compliance with regulatory processes.
The role will also facilitate key collaboration meetings at critical project milestones, ensuring stakeholders adhere to the Management of Change (MOC) process, and report on status against project scope.
This is a fixed term position for 12 months.
Main responsibilities will be managing, maintaining, and administering the Senex Pre-development planning process & systems including:
Acting as the point of contact for the business to submit PIN documentation, enabling the commencement of the project approvals planning process Systematically administering and tracking all proposed Senex projects from PIN through desktop review, on-ground scout, request for approvals to Authority to Work (commencement) Coordinating key collaboration meetings at relevant project development milestones (PIN, desktop review, post scout review) between Project Managers and Access and Approvals SMEs Ensuring that field teams are adequately resourced and prepared to successfully execute survey and scout portions of the process Ensuring all stakeholders rigorously follow Senex MOC processes and report on MOC status against scope Actively contributing to building a "hopper" of development-ready scope with the aim of achieving 12+ months of approved development-ready scope User acceptance testing and implementation of fit-for-purpose software to track and guide the Senex pre-development planning through execution process
On occasion, field-based travel will be required in carrying out the broader duties associated with this role.
About You
To be successful in the position, the following experience and skills will be required:
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in project management, coordination, or a similar specialist role Demonstrated experience in systematically managing schedules and large volumes of project milestones Experience in contributing to the build and maintenance of project management schedules using software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Base knowledge of land access, environment, and regulatory approvals required to facilitate petroleum and gas development Prior experience in the resources, transport, or manufacturing sector Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities Ability to work autonomously and interact with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to the business Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
