About the role (12 months, Fixed Term position)
We're seeking an experienced Project Reporting and Data Analyst to measure and monitor project progress against contractual requirements on the Westgate Tunnel Project.
You'll join a dedicated project team in the delivery of one of Melbourne's biggest infrastructure projects – playing a major part in addressing some of Melbourne's biggest growth, transport and liveability challenges by providing road-users with a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, additional lanes and smart technology on Melbourne's critical M1 corridor.

Day-to-day, you will: Take responsibility for project quality and completion data reporting by understanding and building upon our existing PowerBI & MS Excel reporting suite to ensure the right quality outcome is achieved and that the project meets its contractual obligations.Engage directly with external stakeholders, including the Construction Contractor and the Independent Reviewer to capture data and undertake quality control checks for accurate, robust and reliable data sets.Hone your analytical skills and PowerBI capability to extract, manipulate and interpret data into insightful dashboards and reliable weekly and monthly reporting on project progress and performance, identifying trends and actionable insights.Look for opportunities to drive continuous improvement across the broader project team including building on existing reporting systems and identifying potential new data sources for reporting and analytics.Interface with the construction team, (including regular visits to site) to understand project challenges, deep dive into construction metrics and translate project requirements into timely, accurate and meaningful reporting and dashboards.This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: High level data manipulation, analysis and reporting capability, including the ability to develop new and improved systems and reporting practices.Advanced technical proficiency with MS Excel and data visualisation tools, preferably PowerBI and/or Tableau.Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., science, mathematics, economics, statistics).Being analytical and incisive with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to spot issues and use your own ingenuity to solve problems collaboratively.Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to proactively engage with key stakeholders to drive quality, 'best for project', outcomes.If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
