Job DescriptionAbout the RoleMBM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Advisor to join our Perth team. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of high-quality property consultancy services, with a focus on cost management and quantity surveying for major projects. As part of our growing Perth office, you will contribute to MBM's continued success by providing expert advice, fostering strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional results.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborative Delivery: Work closely with colleagues to provide outstanding quantity surveying services that meet client needs and align with MBM's quality standards.Cost Management: Oversee cost planning, estimation, and ongoing cost management for a variety of property and infrastructure projects.Detailed Reporting: Prepare accurate cost reports, tender documentation, and financial analyses to support decision-making and project delivery.Feasibility Studies: Conduct financial feasibility studies and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved outcomes.Expert Advisory: Provide strategic advice on procurement strategies, contractual matters, and risk management.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and MBM's internal policies.Desired Skills and ExperienceQualifications and SkillsEducational Background: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of experience working as a client-side Quantity Surveyor in Australia.Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience providing full project services for major property and infrastructure projects.Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CostX and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Professional Accreditation: Corporate membership or working towards accreditation with AIQS or RICS.Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.Analytical Abilities: Advanced analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional client-facing and relationship management skills.Team Player: Strong organisational skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Time Management: Proven ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple projects simultaneously.Proactivity: A self-motivated and solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.What We OfferProfessional Growth: Opportunities to develop your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.Learning and Development: Access to both in-house and external training programs to advance your skills and knowledge.Industry Engagement: Participation in networking opportunities, client interactions, and industry events to enhance your professional profile.Sustainability Focus: Be part of initiatives that prioritise sustainable practices and deliver long-term value for our clients.MBM fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that empowers our team members to excel in their roles while supporting their professional aspirations.
