We are currently seeking Project Advisors to join our Sustaining Capital CLAHDO Project Team to support the delivery of the CLA High Density Ore Project at Cape Lambert Port A near Wickham Township.
The role is on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth. You will be working within a high performing team that will support our contractor partners in developing a strong understanding of RTIO HSEQ Practices and developing and maintaining a safe place of work continuously driving a strong HSE culture. Utilising strong leadership & construction experience, this role will play a pivotal part in the delivery of the project in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety and EnvironmentEnsure that all construction activities comply with and are delivered to Rio Tinto standards and policies for HSE.Demonstrate strong personal commitment to HSE in the workplace.Lead the HSE inductions and training programs.Have knowledge and experience of HSE policies, standard procedures and statutory requirements.Carry out/participate in HSE risk assessment process from initiation stage followed by identification, evaluation, management, reporting and updating stages.Leverage the broader organization (internally and externally) for HSE value creation through sharing knowledge, experience, skills and resources.Review/input into the HSE risk assessments and mitigation actions for allocated construction activities – In field verification of risk controls.360 focus on business safety improvement plans- Embrace, lead & build a strong safety culture.Ensure all incidents are investigated and that all actions are implemented accordingly.Work collaboratively with the Site HSE Advisor in the use of the 5 whys investigation process.Utilise the Enablon system, PEEPO, 5 Why's, My Reflections & lessons learnt documents to ensure all incidents are initiated and closed out as per the Sustaining Capital incident and investigation model.Demonstrate visible felt safety leadership.Construction ExecutionUphold RTIO Values - Care, Courage, Curiosity.Strong leadership and coaching of the contracting partner to ensure alignment with the Sustaining Capital delivery model inclusive of safety performance.Ensure compliance with the RTIO Contractor Management System (CMS).CMS Activities - Issue of Permits, review/develop and the endorsement of the Contractor partners JHA's & SWPs.Develop & maintain a timely delivery process for CMS permit issuing & risk assessment document review across the delivery packages.Ensure accurate information is captured in the project reports (daily and weekly report and handover notes etc).Inspection of statutory equipment – site entry.Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to ensure that all site construction activities comply with and are delivered to Rio Tinto standards and policies for HSEQ and CMS.Participate in method statement reviews and contribute to safe execution practices.Coach and mentor our Contractor partners in RTIO systems and processes.Conduct regular reviews of Project documentation – HSE, CMS, Training Matrix, registers & folder structure.Undertake quality Leadership in the Field interactions.Establish and maintain relationships with internal/ external area owners, stakeholders and collaborating partners.About YouYou are passionate about developing and supporting diverse teams and contracting partners in achieving successful outcomes for our projects.
