Share this content on your favourite social media platform: Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Western Operations has an opportunity for a Project Administration / Support Officer to join our team. This role will support the delivery of key projects across RFDS by providing high level administrative, governance, and organisational support to the project team and stakeholders. This is an exciting time to be part of our organisation as we embark on a series of strategic initiatives that will significantly benefit RFDS and the communities we serve. 

 

About you

- Highly organised 
- Strong attention to detail
- High level conceptual, analytical, research and evaluation skills
- Strong written communications, including experience preparing comprehensive reports
- Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
- Experience working with stakeholders and delivering customer-centric outcomes
- Experience maintaining key program and project registers and artefacts
- Experience in a project related role, accreditation or qualifications would be desirable. 
 

About the role

- Provide administrative and logistical support for Project Managers and project teams.
- Provide secretariat support for committees, including meeting organisation, minute-taking, action list management, and maintenance of meeting schedules. 
- Support effective project communications and change management.
- Develop and maintain project documentation and registers.
- Assist in the development and tracking of resource and funding requests.
- Assist and participate in Project documentation quality reviews.
- Coordinate, track, and report project financials. 
- Support the development of project plans, and track and monitor compliance during delivery.

About Us

 

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. RFDS crews are committed to providing the finest care to the furthest corners of the State, using the highest standards of clinical care, aviation safety and technology to make a difference to people living and working across WA – the largest and most remote health jurisdiction in the world.

 

The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.

 

In 2024, the RFDS is launching a new five-year strategy 'Above and Beyond', which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history. The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA's most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
