This role will begin once the project site has been prepared, leading to a delayed start date of June/July 2024. Seymour Whyte, in alliance with SMEC and Toowoomba Regional Council, has been awarded the Cressbrook Dam Safety Improvement Project to increase flood capacity and resilience for the region. Representing our client's largest project to date, the project involves raising the dam crest height, and widening the spillway whilst also aligning the structure with current engineering design standards to ensure the dam's long-term viability. Toowoomba, The Garden City, is renowned for its expansive public gardens, notably the Japanese Garden and Queens Park, and the famous Carnival of Flowers. About the role Manage general site administration, including reception duties, mail handling, filing, minute taking, and data entry. Enter delivery dockets, orders, subcontractor details, and invoices into the job costing system. Verify invoice accuracy and ensure proper authorisation according to authority levels. Handle purchasing of site goods, excluding permanent materials or engineered products. Maintain records for vehicles, logistics, plant, equipment, project leave, and assist with project financial tasks such as progress. claims, subcontract payment schedules, claim preparation, and cost forecasting. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience Certificate III Business Administration qualification or similar. High level of data entry skills – speed and accuracy of input. Demonstrated exposure to job costing, purchasing, and accounts ideally within the construction industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Current C-Class Driver's License.
