Position available in Medium size Residential and Commercial Building Company for a Project Administrator. Applicant must as a minimum requirement hold a formal Project Management qualification and have 3 years minimum experience in similar roles. An Engineering / Architectural / Construction background is an advantage.
Responsibilities Writing and negotiation of formal construction contracts. Liaising with Professional consultants (Architects, Engineers, Building Consultants and Certifiers). Local Government approval applications. Scheduling of Projects and forming of contract documents (Internal Test plans, trade quotes and procurements, certifier schedules, approval documentation). Execution of contract administration. Main Tasks Liaise with clients during the tendering process, booking appointments and scheduling quotes from trades and suppliers. Administer quotes and follow up with potential clients, ensure tendering deadlines are met and relevant documentation is submitted (particularly in the case of Government tendering). Schedule projects in negotiation with clients, trades and current workload. Orchestrate project specific Architect and Engineering plans and reports. Make Local Government approval applications, ensuring all relevant documentation is obtained and submitted (Development applications, Construction Certificates, Section 68 approvals, Complying Development approvals). Develop project specific Internal Test Plans, construction schedules, supplier lists, budgets and checklists. Assist Construction project managers to book trades, order materials, and ensure deadlines are met. Liaise and communicate with Clients during the construction process, ensuring customer relationships are maintained and schedules are communicated effectively. Negotiate and execute Variation contracts with clients. Supply project completion documentation (Warrantees, certifications, council approvals etc) to clients and certifying agencies. Schedule and manage defect liability periods and maintain project follow up and customer service. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
