Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary objective: Provide project and contract administration advice and services to project delivery staff to support the delivery of Government's civil and infrastructure programs.Key duties and responsibilities:Provide advice and administration support to project delivery staff to ensure compliance with contract conditions and agreements.Record, document, and maintain records related to assigned Minor New Works, Repairs, Maintenance, and less complex Capital Works, Recoverable Works, and Consultancy Projects.Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts following agency processes and guidelines.Provide support, monitoring, and training to other Project Administration staff.Establish excellent working relationships with internal project delivery staff and communicate effectively on all matters relating to project administration.Selection criteria:Essential:Ability to provide project and contract administration advice on assigned Minor New Works, Repairs, Maintenance, and less complex Capital Works, Recoverable Works, and Consultancy Projects.Sound verbal communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures, standards, and systems to technical and professional staff.Good written skills with the ability to prepare accurate memoranda and comprehensive notes.Sound knowledge of IT systems for project administration; financial management and reporting; and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office related software.Ability to train, mentor, and provide guidance to staff on the job.High level skills in maintaining data integrity with thoroughness, attention to detail, and accuracy.Knowledge of Northern Territory Government project and contract administration procedures and relevant legislation and guidelines.Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.Desirable:Knowledge of the Northern Territory Infrastructure industry and geographical locations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
