We offer a 9-day fortnight working pattern, offering extended weekends every other week, granting you more time to pursue your passions. And that's not all – we provide flexible start and finish times.
The Project & Cost Accounting function records the costs associated with a particular project or job in Ultra. It collects all costs, invoices, time cards and other direct project charges and assures they are recorded in the correct charge account. The function will create data that tracks, reports on and analyses the financial performance of projects.
Key responsibilities will include: Project AdministrationAdministrative support of Project and Program artefacts aligned with set policies and proceduresPlanning and coordination of Program administrative activities, outputs and tasksSupporting the delivery of Program and Project reportsSupporting the development and implementation of Business Policies and practicesProject Set up in IFSMonthly invoicing, project creation and reporting in financial systemAssist and support with Program planning and reviewsOther duties as directedProject ReportingProvide recurring & ad hoc reports to Program Managers and other stakeholdersSupport month-end close processesEnsuring accurate and timely invoicing of customers and assist in the resolution of any overdue invoices in a prompt mannerKey Competency Requirements: Highly competent in use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Demonstrable high degree of computer literacy including familiarity with accounting and/or ERP system(s) preferably IFS. The candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a current Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).Personal Attributes: A sound understanding of program cost accounting / project accounting is desirableSelf-motivated with the ability to work autonomously whilst able to motivate others around the businessGood communicator who is highly analytical, with good attention to detail and able to prioritise tasksCreative and pragmatic in approach whilst being well organised and calm under pressurePrepared to multi-task and work flexibly to achieve deadlinesFocus on process improvement opportunities for the LOBDemonstrates behaviours that align with and promote Ultra's valuesExperience: Experience with ERP's and accounting standardsWhy it's great to work for Ultra Maritime!
