PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR (IDENTIFIED) Aboriginal identified and ongoing full-time opportunity Sydney, NSW based location with hybrid and flexible working supported Clerk Grade 5/6 with a salary range of $93,295-$102,941 per annum (plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading). About the role The Project Administrator works across the Create Infrastructure unit, including on First Nations Projects, supporting the team with a range of administrative tasks, research, and reporting on a variety of cultural infrastructure projects.
Part of the Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport cluster, Create NSW is focused on growing and supporting the arts, culture and creative industries in NSW for everyone to enjoy. Underpinning our work is the NSW Government's 10-year arts, culture and creative industries policy, Creative Communities , which recognises the unique place of the sector in NSW and places culture at the heart of the state. Creative Communities is grounded in five guiding principles that prioritises First Nations culture and provides a framework with a series of commitments that will inform Create NSW's work for the next decade to support the arts, culture and creative industries to flourish and enhance the lives of everyone in NSW.
The Create NSW Infrastructure unit delivers tailored advice, management, and delivery services to meet the cultural infrastructure needs of NSW. Our team excels in infrastructure project development, management, and delivery, with a focus on supporting the Creative Communities policy. We operate across three key areas:
Infrastructure development: Assess the creative sector's needs, conduct feasibility assessments, and develop business cases for projects aligned with Creative Communities objectives. Infrastructure delivery: Oversee project execution to foster growth and continuous improvement within the sector. Infrastructure maintenance and activation: Unlock access to a wide range of facilities and underutilised spaces, supporting the production and enjoyment of creative activity. Key accountabilities In this role you will:
Provide project and operational support across various projects and teams. Offer finance administration and procurement support, including handling purchase orders, invoices, payments, and tracking project expenses against budgets. Update and organise documents and records related to issues, policies, and practices to align with project management standards. Conduct basic research and analysis and assist in preparing project briefs. Deliver secretariat services to support project delivery, including coordinating committee meetings. About you To be successful in this role, you will:
Have experience supporting infrastructure-related project and program management, community and cultural infrastructure programs, precinct planning, property activation, or significant project delivery. Be adept at handling multiple tasks accurately and simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and supervision. Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to adapt effectively to various stakeholders and situations.
